24th October 1974: Sam leaps into the body of Clarence ‘Kid’ Cody, a boxer on the take, in Sacremento, California. Under the threat of bodily injury by mobster Jake Edwards and his gang, Cody is being coerced into taking a dive in his next fight. However, his contract has just been taken over by a group of nuns, and they want him to win his forthcoming championship bout so that they can use the winnings to fund their new chapel.
